The Centre Party’s members in the Parliament’s Agriculture and Forestry Committee have argued that the specimen should be treated as an invasive non-native species.
The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission wants people to report their armadillo sightings to the NC Armadillo project. Armadillos aren’t supposed to be in the Southeastern US, but have been spotted since 2007.
