Traditional owners, graziers and lobby groups say the gas company's decision to review plans in Queensland's Channel Country should be a "wake-up call" to governments.
The Queensland Government gave energy company Santos extended rights to explore environmentally significant parts of the Channel Country for potential commercial gas extraction, documents obtained under right to information laws show.
