As heat waves become more common and extreme due to the effects of climate change, the data centres that provide the backbone for the online services the public relies on are at risk of overheating.
Citing the need to take action to combat climate change, the Manitoba and federal governments have combined to provide $11.6 million in incentives to truckers in this province to cut down on fuel use.
