While actions that have led to a lowering of emissions and pollution are good for the environment, they are not enough to curb years of climate change, local, national and global officials say.
According to a February 2019 report by the U.S. Energy Information Administration, all 50 states nationwide decreased their energy-related carbon emissions by 12.4% between 2005 and 2016.
