As climate change brings more wet and heavy snow storms to the region, state regulators are asking Vermont’s electric utilities to do a better job communicating with customers who are experiencing power outages.
Activists are concerned that a proposed buyout of the company that owns Green Mountain Power and Vermont Gas would allow the mega Canadian power company to have too much influence in Vermont.
The program gives electric vehicle owners free chargers and in return gets to use the technology to bring down energy costs for ratepayers during peak energy use times.
