The Climate Change Bureau will be the first in New Mexico state history and will lead the department’s climate change initiatives, including legislative, regulatory, and compliance initiatives.
State lawmakers will hear a bill that would help New Mexico meet its climate goals. House Bill 9 would establish a statewide framework to address climate change.
