In a move to make fossil fuel companies pay toward undoing the damage of climate change, Senate Democrats announced a bill that would collect $500 billion in taxes over 10 years.
On the campaign trail, President Biden promised that his Department of Justice would "strategically support" lawsuits against the biggest corporate polluters. Now, that pledge is being put to the test.
A statement from EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler said "newer, more affordable pollution control technologies and flexibility on the regulation’s phase-in will reduce pollution and save jobs at the same time.”
