Democratic lawmakers will no longer attempt to pass SB21-200, a bill that sought to put emissions-reduction goals into Colorado law and empower state regulators to enforce those goals.
The Vermont House approved legislation Wednesday that would legally mandate the state meet carbon emission reductions targets in the coming years, and allow individuals to sue the government if it fails to do so.
State Rep. Gerald Mullery, D-Luzerne, said lawmakers could override the governor's veto of a bill that would offer tax breaks to companies that use Pennsylvania natural gas to produce fertilizers and other chemicals.
